Ashot Asatryan

Ashot Asatryan one of the most renowned artists of abstract impressionism art in Armenia. He favors dynamic group scenes and highly poised portraits over the more pastoral, plein air style favored by other artists.

Born in 1954 in Artashavan, Armenia.

In 1974 he graduated from Yerevan Art and Theatre Institute.

In 1995 Ashot Asatryan was accepted to the International Artists’ Federation of UNESCO.

The artist’s works can be found in private collections and art galleries in Russia, USA and Europe.

Since 2009 Asatryan has been represented by the Collector’s Gallery (Today’s Milmar International) in Carmel, CA.

Since 2018 Ashot Asatryan’s artworks have been represented by Gala Art Gallery in Yerevan, Armenia.

Since 1988, he is a member of Artists’ Union of Armenia.

His Solo Exhibitions include Gala Art Gallery, Yerevan, Armenia (2023), Paris, France (2017), Vestfossen, Norway (2000), London, UK (1999), Yerevan, Armenia (1998), Moscow, Russia (1997), Bremen, Germany (1994).

 Ashot Asatryan participated in numerous group- shows including Carmel, USA (2008), Miami, USA (2007), Damascus, Syria (2006), Valetta, Malta (2005), Barcelona, Spain (2004), Dubai, UAE (2002), Antwerp, Belgium (1998), Tynset and Røros, Norway (1998), Roclaw, Poland (1995), Moscow, Russia (1992), Oslo, Norway (1991).
