Nune Siravyan

1973- Born in Yerevan, Armenia.

One of the most important emerging Armenian artists today, Nune Siravyan; being graduated from the State Fine Arts and Theater Institution she works across a variety of media, including collage, jewelry and dolls.
Working in the realms of appropriation art, she is clearly influenced by the contemporary Surrealist artists, as she cuts found photographs, usually glamorous portraits, and combines them with other faces or shots of landscapes and fashion images.

Nune Siravyan held solo exhibitions throughout Armenia , including the National Aesthetic Center, The state History Museum, The “Studio” Art cafe-gallery, as well as in the USA, at “The Black Maria” Art Gallery alongside such artists as Jayson Atienza, Paul Chan, Barron Claiborne, Numa Perrier and Stephen Terrell.
