1909 – Born in Ahdjala, Georgia.
1926 – Graduated from the Art Studio in Leninakan (now Gyumri).
1928 – Graduated from the of Artistic-Industrial College, Yerevan.
His paintings are mostly dedicated to the Armenian highlands.
In the late 1950-s he has been in Rumania, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, England, which made him create paintings of different cityscapes; among them “Senior Square in Florence”, “Buckingham palace in London”, “Republic Square in Bucharest”, “Louvre Palace in Paris”, and many more.
He was the General Scenery painter of Yerevan and Leninakan (Gyumri) Theaters as well as the “Hay film” studio.
Since 1956 he’s a Honored Worker of Arm. SSR.
Since 1965 he’s a People’s Artist of Arm. SSR.
In addition to his paintings and graphics he has worked as a sceneographist and designed the series of performances in the drama theaters of Armenia, the Opera and Ballet Theater, named after A.Spendiarov. He has also created national costumes for the Folk Song and Dance Ensemble named after T. Altunyan.
1977 – Died in Yerevan.
