Karen Movsisyan

Born in 1979 in Yerevan, Armenia, Karen Movsisyan is a graduate of Yerevan State Academy Of Fine Arts, Faculty of Graphic Arts (2008). He has also studied and graduated from the State College Of Fine Arts After P. Terlemezyan (2000).
At first glance, Karen’s graphic colorful style may recall some modernist painters, but his subject matter is distinctively contemporary. Karen’s narrative paintings filled with a pulsating mix of color and figures, swiftly tackle topics related to cultural globalization, social problems, and elements of fauna and nature protection. In his paintings, he paints in details the world he sees in his subconscious. The idol world for Karen is the world where men overcome their instincts and rise to a more spiritual layer.

Karen Movsisyan’s works were presented in several solo and group exhibitions among them:

2019 – Armenia Art Fair
2018 – Narekatsi Art Institute (Yerevan, Armenia)
2018 – Russian-Armenian University.
2017 – Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU)
